HSSE Advisor
We are currently looking for a HSSE advisor to our Headquarter at Forus, Stavanger area, Norway. As a HSSE Advisor you enforce relevant strategic priorities and drive Sustainability & Safety (S&S) development and improvement in Vår Energi. You will ensure collaboration with key stakeholders, both internal and external, and influence S&S performance and culture in the company.

Main Accountabilities
- Drive facilitation and execution of S&S priorities.
- Define and improve relevant requirements, based on regulatory requirements and industry standards and improve compliance.
- Identify, propose, define and drive necessary and relevant improvement initiatives/ projects in company.
- To define, verify, maintain S&S relevant requirements, specifications, solutions and philosophies, including advice to stakeholders.
- Impact implementation of S&S initiatives to reach S&S defined targets.
- Drive collaboration with necessary external stakeholder.
Main Tasks
- Follow up S&S plan/documentation and initiate and follow up relevant activities and business functions.
- Follow up and verify relevant S&S requirements and plans and identify need for and lead improvement initiatives and other relevant projects.
- Take lead and advice in audits, design reviews, HAZID, investigations and other S&S related activities.
- Promote S&S requirements, processes and tools in company.
- Represent Vår Energi in relevant external industry projects and arenas.
About you
- Fluent in Norwegian and English - written and oral
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience
- The drive to identify, initiate and improve system and service
- Ability to work independently, proactively and as a team player at all organizational levels
- High cognitive capability (handle multiple streams simultaneously)
- Create engagement and direction, self-driven, structured and predictable
- Good communication skills, written and oral
- Performance mindset and problem solving attitude
- Flexible, eager to learn and the courage to take on new responsibilities
- In depth understanding of regulatory requirements and relevant standards
