We are looking for a Machinery Engineer to join our Hammerfest office! As a Machinery Engineer you will to provide technical expertise within the area of rotating equipment, have tasks within the Machinery and Cranes & Lifting disciplines, and you will have the opportunity to work with Vår Energi’s operated assets, support projects and contribute to increasing the expertise within the team. 

Main tasks

Main tasks will vary depending on your background but will consist of tasks such as:

  • An active member of the Technical Asset Team working towards Vår Energi’s operated assets
  • Surveillance and optimization of offshore rotating equipment to ensure safe operation, reliability targets are met and effective maintenance plans
  • Identify and initiate required changes/actions to ensure capacity, quality and reliability
  • Lead/participate in troubleshooting/RCFA for machinery systems
  • Provide machinery engineering support to offshore operations and other disciplines and teams
  • Participate in multidiscipline project teams
  • Responsible for technical integrity for an asset within Machinery and Crane & Lifting disciplines
  • Identify and drive safety, environmental and financial improvement opportunities 
  • Working knowledge of engineering requirements and standards
  • Handle deviation processes to ensure operational risks are managed

Qualifications

  • Relevant Bachelor or Master’s degree within Engineering
  • Relevant industry experience.
  • Be able to communicate in both English and Norwegian
