About the positions

Are you an experienced drilling & wells professionals who enjoys solving complex challenges and delivering results in demanding operational environments? At Vår Energi, you'll join one of the most active Drilling & Wells organisations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. We are interested in connecting with experienced candidates for positions including: 

• Experienced HPHT engineer
• Rig Superintendent/Ass. Rig Superintendent
• (Senior) Completion Engineers
• (Senior) Drilling Engineers
• (Senior) Intervention Engineers

Vår Energi is entering an exciting period of growth and activity. We currently have two semisubmersibles under contract, with a third rig joining the fleet in 2027. In addition, we have continuous platform drilling operations, an extensive Light Well Intervention programme and a strong pipeline of field developments, exploration opportunities and HPHT projects. 

With multiple rigs, continuous platform drilling and a large intervention programme, Vår Energi offers one of the broadest Drilling & Wells portfolios on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. 

Our activities span: 

• Exploration and appraisal wells
• HPHT projects
• Production and injection wells
• Platform drilling and slot recovery campaigns
• Well intervention and well integrity projects
• Tie-backs and subsea developments 

This provides a unique opportunity to work across a wide range of assets, well types and operational challenges.

You combine strong engineering judgement with a collaborative mindset and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. You are comfortable working across disciplines, managing competing priorities, and driving activities from planning through execution. 

We are looking for individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset, who are motivated by continuous learning, value creation and business impact. You should also have an interest in how digital technologies, data analytics and Artificial Intelligence can support better decision-making and business performance.   

Background and experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within relevant engineering or technical disciplines
• 3-15+ years of experience in engineering and operations for drilling, wells, completions, intervention, well integrity, or offshore operations
