Experienced Operations Geologist

Vår Energi is seeking two experienced Operations Geologists to join our subsurface team. Candidates are expected to work in multi-disciplinary teams and have a proven track record of adding value by delivering wells from planning trough execution to post well reporting. Main tasks

As a high-end contributor in multi-disciplinary teams, you will be working to deliver development wells on our operated assets.

Some of the key tasks to be solved are:

•    Generate well plans as part of the subsurface team

•    Define well data acquisition programme and associated costs

•    Follow up the geological side of drilling operations

•    Manage wellsite geologists

•    Geosteering wells with associated operational duty

•    Ensure good communication between drilling department and subsurface

•    Geological well reporting

Qualifications

•    > 6 years of relevant experience in Operations Geology
•    Masters Degree in relevant subject – experience can substitute education in relevant cases  
•    Relevant software competence 
•    Being a good communicator across disciplines and personalities
•    Fluent English written and oral communication skills
