Vår Energi is seeking experienced Petroleum/Production Engineers to join our subsurface team at one of our office locations. Successful candidates will be expected to work within multi-disciplinary teams and demonstrate a proven track record of delivering value through the integration of key subsurface data to optimise production and maximise reserves at the well, reservoir, and field level.

Key responsibilities

As a senior contributor within multi-disciplinary teams, you will lead, perform, and deliver petroleum and production engineering studies to inform and support key business decisions.

  • Maintain regular communication with the offshore Central Control Room and collaborate closely with onshore teams across disciplines, including Subsurface, Operations, Facilities/Subsea, and Drilling
  • Monitor well performance to identify opportunities for production optimisation
  • Work in partnership with Drilling, Well, and Reservoir Engineering teams on completion design for new wells and the implementation of new technologies
  • Provide petroleum and production engineering expertise to field development projects
  • Contribute to internal and external peer reviews as required
  • Represent the organisation in licence meetings with external stakeholders, as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years’ relevant experience in petroleum/production engineering
  • Graduate degree (Master’s or PhD) in petroleum/production engineering
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Passion for digitalisation and continuous improvement
  • Experience working on the Norwegian Continental Shelf
