Graduate 2027 - Operations Improvement Engineer

We are looking for graduates to join Vår Energi within Production. 

As part of our graduate programme, you will work on real business challenges from day one, while developing your technical and professional skills in a collaborative and supportive environment. 

We are a leading independent Norwegian upstream oil and gas company, built on more than 50 years of experience on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). 

With equity stakes in around 50% of all producing assets on the NCS, we are the third largest oil and gas producer and one of the largest exporters of gas to Europe from Norway. 

We are 1,400 skilled and engaged employees, located offshore and at our offices in Hammerfest, Florø, Oslo and Forus outside Stavanger. 

As a graduate within Production, you will contribute to a variety of tasks and projects, such as: 

• Contribute to operational performance improvement by identifying and supporting the implementation of AI-driven and data-enabled use cases, focusing on efficiency, production optimisation, and safe operations.
• Collaborate across Operations, IT & Digital, and other business functions to mature data utilisation and pilot digital initiatives, strengthening cross-functional ways of working and value delivery.
• Build and apply AI and data competencies to support decision-making, improve data quality, and enable more proactive and predictive maintenance and inspection practices.
• Support continuous improvement and digital transformation efforts by translating operational needs into scalable solutions, contributing to standardisation, simplification, and increased use of digital tools.
• Cross-functional collaboration 

You will be given responsibility early on, with support and mentoring from experienced colleagues.

We are looking for candidates who: 

• Are recently graduated or will graduate in 2027 with a Master’s degree within relevant studies
• Have 0–2 years of relevant work experience
• Are fluent in English, both written and spoken
