Graduate 2027 - Reservoir Engineer
About the position
We are looking for 2 graduates to join Vår Energi within Subsurface.
As part of our graduate programme, you will work on real business challenges from day one, while developing your technical and professional skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.

We are a leading independent Norwegian upstream oil and gas company, built on more than 50 years of experience on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).
With equity stakes in around 50% of all producing assets on the NCS, we are the third largest oil and gas producer and one of the largest exporters of gas to Europe from Norway.
We are 1,400 skilled and engaged employees, located offshore and at our offices in Hammerfest, Florø, Oslo and Forus outside Stavanger.
What you will be working with
As a graduate within Subsurface, you will contribute to a variety of tasks and projects, such as:
- Evaluate well performance using decline curve analysis and pressure/rate transient analysis
- Perform production forecasting
- Update and history match reservoir models
- Perform reservoir simulation studies to identify infill wells and improved recovery opportunities
- Cross-functional collaboration with exploration, production, drilling and wells and project development departments
You will be given responsibility early on, with support and mentoring from experienced colleagues.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for candidates who:
- Are recently graduated or will graduate in 2027 with a Master’s degree within relevant studies
- Have 0–2 years of relevant work experience
- Are fluent in English, both written and spoken
