Petrophysicist
Vår Energi is seeking an experienced Petrophysicist to join our subsurface team. Candidates are expected to work on multi-disciplinary projects and have a proven track record of adding value by delivering Petrophysical analyses to the business.

Main Tasks
As a high-end contributor to multi-disciplinary projects, you will be working to define and deliver high quality, fit-for-purpose petrophysical interpretations across the entire value chain of our business including exploration, field developments, production optimization, business development, late-life & abandonment. Key skills sets should ideally include:
- Competency in the physics of logging tools utilized in the petroleum industry and ability to evaluate clastics, carbonates/evaporites and source rocks using deterministic & probabilistic petrophysics
- Proficiency in fundamental data acquisition including value-of-information decision-making, Q.C. based on data acquisition processes, physical principles and limitations to avoid misuse and misinterpretation of data
- Multi-disciplinary understanding of G&G, RE and other disciplines related to petrophysics
- Integration of petrophysics into static & dynamic models used for volumetrics and production forecasting. Contribution to rock physics modelling
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in Petrophysics
- Competency in and motivation to develop petrophysical skills
- Relevant experience from the Norwegian continental shelf
- Advanced degree in relevant engineering/geoscience-related subject
- Relevant software competence, experience with Techlog is a plus
- Fluent English written and oral communication skills
