About the position

We are looking for experienced subsurface professionals to strengthen our Subsurface organisation and support value creation across Vår Energi's portfolio: 

• Reservoir Engineer  
• Petroleum Engineer  
• Geomechanics Engineer 
• Operations Geologist 
• Geoscientist 
• Geospatial Information Lead 

The roles span a broad range of disciplines, including reservoir engineering, petroleum engineering/production technology and geoscience. You will contribute with technical expertise and support key decisions that will help optimising our producing assets and shape our future developments. 

You will join Vår Energi’s Subsurface organisation, a team of 130 professionals supporting a large, operated portfolio across four hubs. We combine a high level of activity with a short path from idea to execution, giving you the opportunity to take ownership, influence decisions and see the impact of your work. Our teams work across exploration, field development and infill drilling, and from 2027 we will have continuous drilling operations on three mobile rigs in addition to the permanent facility at Ringhorne. Background and experience

• Master’s degree within Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering/Production Technology, Reservoir Engineering or related disciplines
• 3-10 years of relevant experience within oil and gas
• Experience within geoscience, reservoir engineering, petroleum engineering, production technology or field development
• Strong understanding of subsurface uncertainty, reservoir behaviour and asset value drivers
• Experience with NCS exploration, field development planning, reservoir studies, production optimisation and reserves maturation is considered an advantage
